No more waiting for the rinse cycle. No more cleaning out your dispenser. With the Downy Ball, fabric softener is automatically released during the rinse cycle. All you have to do to enjoy the convenience of our Downy Ball is pour the Downy fabric softener of your choice up to the right fill line in your Downy bottle cap and pour into the ball, seal it, and drop it in at the start of the wash on top of your fabrics. Feel more at ease.

Time saver I love my Downey Ball. Mine just cracked in my washer. A friend of mine had mentioned yesterday she was looking for a new one as she cannot find hers and is having a hard time finding them in the stores here. Now both of us are going to be looking for a new one. May 5, 2013

Not 100% impressed I used this for the first time & found some downey still in the ball plus a little water. Luckily nothing was stained & it seemed to do what it's suppose to. I'm a little leary of using it again from all the negative comments left from other people. May 4, 2013

Loved it when I had it... I remember when these came out... I got one when they were a "New Fad" lol... I kept it for many years. I kept it clean and in good condition. I read some of these reviews about how horrible it is and how it falls apart in a month.. that makes me sad that they cut the quality.. I loved my ball... When I moved a few years back, someone helped their self to it... Now you cannot find them anywhere... The cut and paste list the customer service offers? ... Those stores look at you like you have a third eye when you ask them if they have the Downy Ball... Half of the kids working these stores never heard of it... So I scour the entire store to no avail... now I have to try to find it and buy it online and pay shipping... a $2 ball is now going to run me up to possibly $11 depending on who has it in stock... not fair. :( I would recommend this to a friend if I knew they could find one... Stains my clothes Years ago (long before high efficiency washers) I saw Downy balls and didn't care for them. One came with our new HE washer and since I couldn't find any other way to dispense fabric softener, I figured I had to use it. Most of the time it worked okay. It didn't always empty. When it didn't empty and rolled down to the bottom of the machine, it would often dribble the softener liquid on the clothes. Stained a bunch of them. I followed instructions on how to use it and how far to fill it. Just today it didn't empty properly when it was supposed to and I found it wrapped up in some underwear and everything at the bottom (or near the bottom) stained. I'm going to follow the suggestion to clean it and see if that makes a difference. My machine locks during operation and I wouldn't have a clue how to unlock it or when to do that to put the liquid in. I'm not a big fan of these HE washers, but I'm stuck with this brand new one. I may have to stop using Downy ball entirely. Huge disappointment. Something so simple that's been around for so many years should work every time. April 22, 2013
