Still the best--but hard to find in any store I have 90% dark wash and have used this product for 10 years. It really does what they say--keeps darks looking dark. I've worn some items for YEARS and they're STILL dark. I was hoping that with some competition now appearing, it would prompt P&G to become more aggressive in marketing it and to produce a true HE version. However, I've found that this regular machine dark formula is OK in an HE machine as long as you use a liquid fabric softener on your wash. The "residue" from the softener keeps down any suds that would affect the HE wash system--even if you have a water softener, as I do. As they used to say: "Try it--You'll like it!" May 8, 2013

Best Purchase Ever for Dark Clothes The original Cheer for Darks detergent was the best product on the market. My dark clothes kept their original color (black, dark brown, etc) for many months longer than they do now. Since I can't find Cheer for Darks anywhere. The new Cheer color guard only protects the color for 1 or 2 washes. After that they began to fade even if I use a little extra detergent. I hope the original Cheer for Darks will make a come back very soon. We need it desperately!! July 31, 2012
