Tide Washing Machine Cleaner has been specifically designed to help remove and dissolve away odor causing residues that may build up in your washer over time - even from those areas you can't see! Have you ever run a load a laundry and at the end, it just doesn't smell clean & fresh? It could be coming from residues left behind in your washer. Washers today use less water, which can leave behind residues in machine - including areas you can't see, e.g. back of the tub, hoses, drain, etc. These residues can lead to the build-up of malodor, which can be transferred to your laundry. Proper care for you machine, which includes running monthly clean-outs with Tide Washing Machine Cleaner to help remove these residues and keep them from causing laundry problems down the road.

Ingredient List: Active Ingredients: Cleaning Agents (Biodegradable Surfactants), Oxygen Bleach (Percarbonate), Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Sulfate, and Perfume.

Warnings: Eye irritant. May be harmful if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children. In case of eye contact, flush with water. If swallowed, give a glassful of water or milk. Call a physician. Not for use with clothes.

Directions: Remove clothing or other items before using Tide Washing Machine Cleaner. For maintenance: Use Tide Washing Machine Cleaner once a month to clean & freshen your machine. If odor problem or visible residue already exists: Use 1 pouch per week for 3 consecutive weeks following the instructions below. Then, continue to use 1 pouch per month for maintenance. For a top load washing machine, pour 1 pouch of Tide Washing Machine Cleaner directly into your washer tub. For a front load washing machine, pour 1 pouch of Tide Washing Machine Cleaner into your detergent dispenser drawer. Run washer on normal cycle with the hot water setting.

Great scent I have a Whirlpool front loader and loaded the product directly into the detergent dispenser, being sure to make the adjustment within the dispenser tray to accommodate powdered detergents and it worked like a champ. I have always been meticulous in maintaining the washer. I always dry off the door and both sides of the seal. I leave the washer door ajar when not using the machine. I completely remove the detergent dispenser drawer and rinse out the residual fabric softener, letting it air dry before replacing it. I towel off the inside of the dispenser drawer space and let it air dry to prevent mildew from growing, especially from the water holes over the detergent dispenser. I ran a monthly cleaning cycle with bleach, as directed in the hand book, but I would have a mild odor in the machine until I tried this product. I was skeptical, but am now a believer. I love the scent of this product and hope it lasts a long time. P & G should make it a Febreeze scent. April 19, 2013

Front loading washers how to use I used the washing machine cleaner as directed. It did not all dissolve and go down into the washer from the soap dispenser. What did go through seems to have done a good job to the smell etc, but next time I am going to put directly into the washer or maybe make a small cloth bag to hold it so that it dissolves through the bag. As a side note for those with the smelly issue, be sure to leave the washer door open after your last washer load for the week. Allow air to flow and assist in the drying of the inside. Strong Odor I do not do many reviews, but I have to agree with many others here; the odor is strong and if your laundry room is in your home, like mine, the smell permeates through your home. I thought I would try this because I do typically use Tide laundry detergent. I have always used Affresh tablets before and never had a problem with strong odors. That is not the case with this product. The purchase I made had five packages of washing machine cleaner in it. I think I will toss out the other four. Almost 24 hours later I can still smell the odor in my house. I have run laundry through the washer though and my clothes do not smell like the product so that is good. April 7, 2013

Clumpy mess Tried 2 pouches out of the box of 3 and both times the powder did not fully resolve. Even after trying to run it again, the product did not come out and the washing machine still smelled musky. I ended up having to get chunks of the detergent container with a spoon before I could do a load of laundry. I tried another product before the Tide cleaner was available locally and bough the Tide brand when I saw it. Unfortunately I'm not happy with the performance. I have one more pouch in the box of 3 left so I'll give it one more shot. April 2, 2013
